Opening Day
Well, the boys of summer are here again…
Opening Day 2003 started last night on ESPN with a game between the Texas Rangers and the defending World Series champion Anaheim Angels.
My boys opened up against the Arizona D’Backs today, beating them 8-0. Ive got a good feeling about the Dodgers year. I think this may be the year we win the division.
A “million Mogadishus”?
Columbia professor Nick De Genova’s “anti-war” remarks:
I did not know that it was possible for a man to stick his foot in his mouth while his head is this firmly lodged in his ass; however, I have been proven wrong once again. There must be no limit to human idiocy.
This professor is obviously not anti-war. By calling for the death of our soldiers and having their bodies dragged through the streets, he is simply a traitor. With 18 killed and 84 wounded Americans at Mogadishu, this jackass just called for 102 million American casualties. This is equivalent to the death of more soldiers that have died in all wars of the last century. This lust for blood is remarkable for someone speaking at an anti-war rally.
There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with the war. This is the wonderful thing about the United States; you are allowed that right. However, wishing your fellow citizens/military personnel (who are protecting your first amendment rights) nothing but harm is completely intolerable.
Since the professor spoke these words at a “teach-in” at Columbia University, and most universities are in some manner funded by students/parents paying tuitions, state and/or federal grants and funds, we need to voice complaints to where it will be most effective… to the university itself.
If this “professor” is tenured, the university may try to protect his right to say what he wants. The university will probably think differently when it comes to their income. I urge everyone to excercise your rights and freedoms. Do *not* send your children to Columbia University. Call your local, state and federal representatives and encourage them to refrain from funding Columbia University as long as they feel compelled to keep such persons in their employ.
Maybe someone can help him complete a parachute jump into Baghdad before our troops arrive and help support his Mogadishu dreamsLet him back up his mouth with action.
Boycott Columbia University as long as they employ this “Nutty Professor”…
