Body for Life — Week 1
So, I just completed week 1 of the Body for Life program.
This first week, I dropped 7 pounds, going from 218.5 to 211.5.
I dont think that I will be losing as much next week, because I understand that most of this weight loss came from not eating to the point of being overstuffed and water weight.
So far, so good though… My target weight is 180, so 7 pounds down, 31.5 to go. :=)
Contact form broken
For some strange reason, my contact form seems to be broken.
I have submitted a support issue to Blogomania, and hope to have it back online shortly. Sorry for any inconvenience.
A digital clock
This is pretty cool…
Here’s an oldie, but goodie: digital clock.
My new body for life
So, on Monday morning I have reengaged my workout plan. In March of 2001, I went through the Body for Life program and lost a whopping 80 pounds through the 12 week program, going from a size 42 pant to a size 33.
There is nothing about this program that we dont already know. It simply combines diet and excercise. During previous attempts to lose weight, I had always fumbled through creating a workout routine that works. With the Body for Life program, the workout program laid out for me.
Unlike some of the mainstream diets, there is really nothing that you cant eat on the Body for Life program. You are just required to eat in moderation (ie: 2 pieces of pizza instead of the entire pizza). You are encouraged to stay away from fatty foods like McDonalds and such, however, on one day of the week you are allowed a “cheat day”. This is a day that you can eat or drink *ANYTHING* you want.
This cheat day is also important, because you dont feel like your restricting yourself at all. You behave yourself (diet and excercise) during the first 6 days and then do whatever you want on the last one.
I weighed myself Monday morning prior to my workout and came in at a svelte 218.5 pounds (36% body fat, according to my Tanita scale). My goal for this 12 week program is to get back to 180 lbs, which was my weight when I completed my last 12 week program. My weekly weigh-in happens Saturday mornings, and I will post the results…
Yes, I did gain some weight back after the last program, but this was completely due to my poor eating habits and lack of excercise.

Wise vs Installshield, cont’d
I work for the greatest company in the world… :=)
Since I found that for most projects, InstallShield is far superior than WISE, we have now purchased a license and subscription for IS Developer 8.02.
However, since there are some things that WISE does better, we have also decided to keep it. Now, we can use whichever installer that is best for the problem we are trying to solve.

MovablePoster and TypePad
Great news. It appears that the MovablePoster also functions with the new six apart blog hosting service (http://www.typepad.com).
When configuring the MovablePoster plugin to use TypePad, you should use the default settings. Thanks to Greg Reinacker for the information.

New category and feed
I have added a new category and feed to the blog dedicated to MovablePoster. This feed will announce all new releases, as well as address any issues that may come up.
Keep in mind that I will still be providing MovablePoster release information in my projects feed, which also includes any other projects I may be working on.
