ok guide to everything about beating this game
1. Look in bowl on the desk for the thin ring
2. Open the yellow curtain and take the key thats sitting on the bottom of the window.
3. Open and close the yellow curtain about 5 times or so until the screen shifts to the floor and get the other ring.
4. Look at the bed. Click the pillow so that it lifts up to get another key.
5. While the pillow is floating, click on the line where the mattress meets the yellow to get the metal rod.
6. Go to the blank wall and click on the floor at the bottom left. you must click on the purple part.This gets you the battery.
7. Use the keys that fit with the locked yellow drawers to get electric cord and red box.
8. Select the power cord and click on the cd player on the desk.
9. click the power button, open disk slot and take out key.
10. Click on the shadow under the yellow desk to ficd cassette.
11. Select red box and put the two rings and the metal rods into their respective holes.
12. Open box and insert battery and cassette. click on the screen on the bow to view a movie.
13. When the guy points to the “+” keep the mouse there until the movie ends. Once its over click on the spot on the wall 3 times.
14. Click square on wall 2 open up the safe.
15. Click until 1994 is displayed and use the key in the keyhole to open safe.
16. take screw driver and click on the door knob until you see a side view of it.
17. use screw driver on knob.. yay u won…
i can’t click 3 times! at the second time, it moves to de hi fi system…
click bottom right of the centre of the cross after the whole thing has finished.

The dang url shows 0913 I have tryed every combination of those numbers and none work
when played it was 4587 but u must go to the url to figure t ur code it mosty likely changes every time or sokmthing

1994 works you have to put the extra key into the safe before you can open it

i just got through it. this is october 16th, 2004. i put the code 1994. then you have to put the oridanary key in the hole in the front. it should open. then use the screw driver to open the door. sorry if this code doesnt work for you, but it just did for me.

The code changes. Apparently it’s updated every so often. Right now it’s 0465, but you have to go to the URL on the paper. If you can’t read upside down, just take a screenshot and rotate it in paint.

For the safe numbers. Go to http://www.milkandcookies.com/ and play the game there. Then type in 1994, and it should work.

look people, if you start the game from the original site then the first time that you see the safe DONT enter ANY codes, go straight to the url on the paper, look at the cards on the table and enter them in the first time correctly and use the normal key to open the safe. if you dont understand that then you shouldnt be playing any game like this, your brain cant cope!!!!! if you try the game from a different site then yes the code MAY be 1994 but that is only from copy games and is not the original, please be more smart than you are now people, come on!!!!

ok heres the catch… they change the code around midnight everynight. so you gotta start and finish in one day. to find out the code go to the website written on the note you found and get the code. you gotta put in the right code on the first try or else you gotta do the whole game over.

the code is different depending on the sequence of the items u pick up. 1994 worked for me. Guess you got to keep going bak to the URL and get all the combos and use them all! My sequence (ring in the bowl, cd, note, tape, battery, key under pillow, metal stick behind matress, key on window, ring on ground, red box, cable, key in cd player)

Well, when I finished crimson room the first time (~3 yrs ago) the original game was hosted on Takagi’s server. Now if you want to play it from the original site (http://www.takagism.net), you get redirected to fasco-cs. On the original site, the code really was 1994.
When you opened the URL from the memo you got to a page just saying something like “… since 1994″. Just for your information… Those saying the code would be 1994 don’t suck, they just finished the game a looong long time ago.
BTW, the code from the cards on the table doesn’t work for me, either.

I think what everyone is missing is that it depends on which websit you go on. On http://www.ebaumsworld.com/crimsonroom the code to the safe is 1994. I have escaped the room from this URL and witht this code about 4 times now. Trust me! It works!

I dont know if you have to look at the url once you get it but thats what i did. Make sure that outlined white square is on the key found it the CD player (not the gold or siver skeleton key). Follow the video, ckick 3 times to reveal the safe and you must click through the numbers slowly as not to enter the wrong code. Today 9/08 the code is 1694 or click the links listed above. enter the code and click on the key hole and open the safe door and get the screwdriver.
click on the red wall on the right to go to the yellow dresser. Now click on the lower right of the sreeen showing the blue door. Click on the lower part of the door to get closer, and use the screwdriver on the knob to pry it off. click ot the empty hole and your home free.
